Technologies and certifications


To constantly ensure the structural requirements and specifications required by the customer, T.S.T. S.r.l. has an internal metrological department where are carried out continuous tests and quality checks on manufactured products.
The metrology department applies for dimensional certification of the samples and measurement of process capability and is equipped with an automatic scanning coordinates Hexagon machine, optical measuring machine Mitutoyo and a 3D photometric scanning machine GOM ATOS 80.


During the process of developing new products, in order to get results on the geometry of the surface of the product that optimizes the analysis of the process, we use a photometric scanning 3D GOM. The measurement process is expected that the object surface is not touched as happens for example with the feelers. The measurement data obtained provide information regarding characteristics of the material and the behavior of the component.

Digital contact measuring

Digital contact scanning (Hexagon) is a CMM coordinate measuring machine managed with a software that allows to perform scanning checks starting from the 3d model of the product. The software allows the automatic operation of the machine using different measurement strategies, such as the point-to-point basic control and the ASME 14.5 tolerance management.


The optical contact scanning (Mitutoyo Quick Scope 300) is an automatic machine that works on a QSPAK software able to obtain 2D measurements of the product. The interchangeable optical unit allows to realize different enlargements of the detail, such as measurements from the 3D model of detail, point-to-point control, tolerance check.


The quality management and control system is the fil rouge that, used in all production processes, ensure to produce components that meet the customer’s expected demand. From the design phase, through the advanced rapid prototyping techniques to the production and post-processing, the personnel involved in the production department is professionally trained to continuously monitor the production.
Quality management and certification of parts are an integral part of the production process. The approval of new products is carried out through the use of modern measuring machines, such as optical measuring machines, digital contact and automatic scanning.
The company firmly believes in the principles of Quality: the Quality Management System was achieved for the first time in 1997 and then consolidated with the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015, IATF 16949: 2016 and UNI EN ISO 13485: 2016 standards.
